Scarsdale Village Comes Alive at Annual Sidewalk Sale
The heart of Scarsdale Village was abuzz with excitement last month as the Scarsdale Business Alliance (SBA) hosted its much-anticipated annual Sidewalk Sale. The three-day event transformed the charming village streets into a lively open-air market, drawing in hundreds of residents and visitors from across Westchester.
With more than 40 participating vendors — including beloved Scarsdale storefronts and a curated selection of outside businesses — the Sidewalk Sale offered something for everyone. Shoppers strolled through the village browsing summer specials, scoring one-of-a-kind finds, and connecting directly with local merchants in a festive, community-focused setting.
That weekend, the entire village center was filled with laughter and family-friendly festivities. Kids were treated to a full lineup of engaging activities including face painting, balloon animals, and colorful airbrush tattoos. The highlight of the day came courtesy of Songs for Seeds, whose interactive children’s concert had little ones dancing in the streets. Wonder added a splash of creativity with a hands-on spin art station that proved to be a hit with both kids and parents.
The Scarsdale Fire Department was on-site handing out refreshing Italian ices, while the Scarsdale Police Department hosted a community outreach table, engaging with families and sharing safety resources — a true display of the strong partnership between the village and its public service teams.
Under sunny skies and with music, laughter, and good vibes filling the air, the Sidewalk Sale once again affirmed its role as a cornerstone event in the Scarsdale calendar. “Fun was had by all,” said event organizers — the joy was evident in every smiling face and shopping bag carried home.
From small business showcases to family fun and neighborly connections, the Sidewalk Sale brought the community together in the most joyful way. Scarsdale Village was truly alive — and already, residents are looking forward to next year’s celebration.
