A Heartfelt Thank You to the Scarsdale Community
Mayor Justin K. Arest
As we look ahead to the next chapter in Scarsdale’s history, I want to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude to you—the residents of this wonderful Village. Your engagement, your support, and your commitment to our community are what make Scarsdale truly special.
On March 18, you cast your votes in the Village election, and I am honored and humbled to continue serving as your Mayor alongside returning Trustee Dara Gruenberg, newly elected Trustees Jason Kofman and David Goldschmidt, and the rest of the Board of Trustees. Together, we will work hard to uphold the values that define our Village and build on the progress we have made.
Scarsdale is not just a place; it is a community built on a foundation of civic engagement, volunteerism, and shared purpose. I feel truly fortunate to live in a Village where dedication to service, collaboration, and the greater good take precedence over partisanship and personal ambition. It is a Village where neighbors support one another, where challenges are met with thoughtful solutions, and where the future is shaped by the collective efforts of its people.
I hope to see many of you at our upcoming community events, including the Destination Sunday kickoff on Sunday, May 4. This event will mark not only the return of our popular Farmers Market in the Village Center but also the start of the Westchester Parks Foundation’s Bicycle Sunday program on the Bronx River Parkway. I also look forward to gathering together at our annual Memorial Day Parade on May 26. The ceremony will begin at 10 a.m. in Chase Park, with the parade to follow as we come together to remember and honor those who gave their lives in service to our nation.
I am excited about the journey ahead, and I look forward to working with each and every one of you to make Scarsdale an even better place to live. Thank you for your trust, your support, and your dedication to our community.
With gratitude,
Justin Arest, Mayor, Village of Scarsdale
